Brain Really Uses Quantum Effects
Already knew this because quantum consciousness is the only reason I believe Penrose may be correct in supposing "Theorizing" that computers can't ultimately become conscious unless they have a quantum component. I.e. a quantum computer element in addition to the classical Von Neumann machine.
What is next?
I just finished my book "Social VR for the Metaverse with A-Frame WebXR" on September 14, 2022. I spent the last few weeks recovering my energies and posting about it.
I did get some nice reviews. The things I have learned are interesting . . . The intent of the book was to bring more people into an understanding of WebXR, A-Frame, the potential of the Metaverse, Social VR, etc. Imagine the climate change implications if people could spacially interact and meet each other from anywhere on the planet (even their sofas). The savings on energy use and a significant negative carbon foot print would be huge. Don't take a plane, train or auto, take a VR headset there for total immersion!
Finally, someone asked me how to make money building a Open-source Metaverse?
Here is my answer.
===
Excellent question! It’s open-source, and the fact there is no pay wall, login system, avatar creation and customization and building system, all pretty much required, you would need those to begin making money. Examples of those making money would be Hubs, Frame, Meta, training is another way, I mention art work and galleries, museums, etc… Admittedly, it’s early days, and I’m sure with crypto and other technologies ultimately money can be made. But just like any business which attracts and captures customers, marketing and support are also required as well as metaverse infrastructure. I hope that answers your question some. If not, you could always try building a game, but the competition is fierce in that arena too and is usually done by teams of people these days! I think ultimately just having this skill-set will mean you can eventually, or even right now begin to make money as an independent contractor/consultant, I just wouldn’t quit my day job just yet… And finally I hate to say it, but build it and they will come?

The answer is long, but it illustrates the difficulty of making money with the metaverse at this time. Traffic to a site is important, stickiness in repeat visitation, I assume ads inside VR is probably how to make money in the short term...
For me, I have some ideas, such as becoming a virtual reality artist or studying AI, or finally writing a complete science fiction. Maybe even combining these ideas, who knows? Because, I don't right now. And that's ok, I have made my contributions.

Chapter Four: Building The Pi Metaverse
It’s early in the morning a week before Christmas 2021, and I’m thinking about what I have accomplished and wondering what to do next?
Should I continue writing this? Will anyone every read it? Does it really matter? Doubts, questions, I tend to get like this before I set any new course heading, hesitant to decide, because there are so many possibilities, which ones to choose?
Chapter Two: Open Avatars
I lay as still as I can, in an MRI machine, in the hospital, after suffering a brain stroke. The pounding and screeching noises from the machine were no comfort to me.
Chapter One: The Metaverse and You
Right now the metaverse is a popular buzzword. Facebook has changed the name of its parent company to META, and the second release of the popular Oculus Quest 2 has come out with 128 GB. VR is finally going mainstream, and AR is all the talk as well, following closely behind. Smart phones have passed the $1000 USD threshold, 5G has come online, at the same time homeless encampments have sprouted everywhere.

Preface
The Dreamer
Temporary gathering of sentient stardust. Free thinker. Evolving human. Author, coder, and artist.
Yes, I’m a dreamer and very proud of it!
With a career spanning more than several decades, I am a dreamer and I embrace this aspect of myself. I was born before many modern technologies, such as smartphones and the internet, became widespread. I even remember watching the original moon landing live on TV as a child at my grandparents' house. In the future, I hope to see a stable human colony established on Mars.
I have a diverse and complex mindset and enjoy thinking about the future and all its possibilities. I am a critical thinker and will always try to cultivate and nurture my creativity. I may also dabble in various art forms. I always question the norm and actually enjoy being the least knowledgeable person in a room full of geniuses.
I have always been interested in computers and coding. When I was younger, I was a computer nerd and worked on mainframe computers and wrote video games. I also built my own personal computers. Throughout my career, I have held many different roles, including hacker (ethically), business analyst, solutions architect, network engineer, webmaster, entrepreneur, and designer of virtual worlds. I have learned many programming languages, but the constantly evolving nature of technology means that I have forgotten some of that older knowledge. However, I continue to learn new languages and skills. One project I am particularly proud of is creating mobile apps that help speech-impaired individuals communicate, similar to the software once used by Stephen Hawking.
I have also rebranded myself as a blogger and entrepreneur and enjoy using Photoshop and uploading YouTube videos. I have real world experience in UI/UX design and also have an online comic based on one of my science fiction stories. Recently, I wrote a technical coding book on VR for the metaverse, which required 5 months of writing and 5-6 years of research and development. The book is 121 pages long and represents my best effort at compressing and explaining the material clearly.
I enjoy writing my own stories, reading and watching science fiction, especially the kind that requires deeper thought. When listening to others, I have strong opinions and am not shy about expressing them. Money is not my primary motivation and I see it as a means to accomplish required tasks and projects.
Overall, I am proud of who I am and what I have become, and do not apologize for it. I dream and work to make those dreams a reality. It is what defines me..

About
I love to blog. This blog is about my creative freedom to soar, to experiment, to grow.
It's more than just writing. I get to express myself in multiple media; pictures, paintings, virtual reality, audio, video, code, whatever form. Total expressive latitude within the limits of my abilities and taste.
I share this all with you. My way of giving back for the wonderful gift of life we have all been given.
