No one is perfect, including myself and occasionally errors will be found in things I have written.  These may even be the result of changes to Opensimulator itself, as it is an evolving project.  So I have created this page to note those errors for your benefit.  Hopefully it will reduce confusion and provide a list of things to update on the next release of the articles.

ERRORS as of Aug 7, 2010

In Article "Your Own Virtual World - Part I" (PDF) version 1.1 and Subsequent articles {Error Level: Possible Confusion}

There may be changes to OpenSimulator default questions during intial setup of a Stand Alone mode.  Refer to: 

"Running OpenSim for the first time" on the configuration page.

Also:

On page 5 "Make your default install C:\OpenSim"  I mention to copy the downloaded opensim binary zip file into this directory folder you have created on your computer.  If you extract the zip into this directory it will create another sub-directory like this > C:\OpenSim\opensim-0.6.9-binaries\bin  .... realize that if this happens it may cause confusion in the instructions and articles that follow.  The "\opensim-0.6.9-binaries" should be treated as if it is the root of OpenSimulator C:\OpenSim.  You may install all files and subdirectories up one level (i.e. in C:\OpenSim) and it will be resolved this as well.  Also note the "0.6.9" will change as newer versions of OpenSim are released.
