We recovered from the server crash and now people are building at an accelerated rate. We have a new Stargate Facility coming online.

I have to report the bad things along with the good. We had a server crash yesterday and lost some new builds. A nice one that would have included the "Stargate Universe". My apologies to the builder, and all, I'm fixing the problem now.
Things are going along fine. People have begun building science fiction themed things in Viradu. Unfortunately two individuals, who remain unnamed, decided to test me on the rules. I was forced to shut down their builds.

Our latest construction project seems to be a Star Trek (trademark) starship. We will want to be very careful here, even though it is is the dedicated Gene Roddenberry area, which is appropriate, I might have to pull it if I get a copyright violation call. We'll see what happens . . . I love Star Trek, keep building it for now.

We have reached a point now where we have a relatively stable virtual world in which to build. So login to your virtual world and let's begin by editing the appearance of your avatar.

It’s not that intuitive.

Well now I've gone done it! I'm giving away all my work for the last few years for free.
Crazy me, but I think I have an idea how to build a virtual world themed on science fiction and a community of people (represented by Avatars) colaborating together in-world from all over the real world (Planet Earth). So this is the start of my Grand Virtual Experiment. I have this blog to store and comment on my experience in this endeavor. This is also the only space I have created in which you can post feedback for all to read. I only ask that you keep in clean, respectful to everyone (including me) and on subject topic (that means advertisements will be removed, except those for Viradu).
To visit Viradu in-world, or in the virtual, you will need to do three things first:

1. A downloaded copy of HIPPO Viewer and install it on your computer.
2. Create an account by registering on OSGrid. Check your email.
3. Login to OSGrid using HIPPO viewer,
Your start location should be entered as above "Viradu H. G. Wells", and complete the rest with information you entered into OSGrid when you registered. Press Log In button and you will appear shortly in an area like the one below . . .
You can find additional instructions on OSGrid here.
